It is used to keep organic odors in the ventilation systems of industrial facilities and commercial buildings. Activated carbon powder impregnated synthetic filter material is pleated and placed in a moisture resistant cardboard frame.

The synthetic material is supported with mesh wire and folded in zig-zag form to increase the filter surface area. It is used after pre-filter in ventilation systems.
